Valorant is a new First Person Shooter game by Riot. The game is succeeding fastly and thus, Riot has positive plans for it. Riot has announced its future plans with the fans including new agents and maps with each update. A recent release came with a new Dev Diary update. The update featured the executive producer of the game, Anna Donlon. She explained how each update of the game will work and new content will be delivered to the players.
Donlon explained how each update of the game will come out as “episodes”. The executive producer said that each episode will be released every 6 months comprising of 3 acts each. Each of the acts will last for 2 months. Similarly, each act will reveal a new agent. With the release of the update, a preview of the 12th agent was also shown in a teaser that will be coming in Episode 1 Act 2.
Donlon also said that the number of agents can be changed as well. She said that we totally rely on the player’s feedback. In the video, she explained “This is another place where we’re going to need a little flexibility, because we really need to follow your cues here – how many agents are too many? How many are too few? But right now, six is the sweet spot, so six is what we’re targeting”.

Besides the agents, each episode will also introduce new maps and gameplay feature updates as well. Donlon said that episode 2 can probably bring new game mode in the scene as well. Similarly, a lot of other important updates will be introduced in the new episode as well.
Riot Games introduced the ranked mode of the game as it launched worldwide. However, a bug was spotted that broke the game and the ranked mode was then called off. After some time, Riot tried once again in all the regions and released the ranked matches in Valorant. Although the ranked scene was supposed to be released with Patch 1.02, it was delayed due to the bug. Riot released the ranked mode in different time zones in different regions. Smartly, the organization opted for the time zones when each region had the least burden on it. Eventually, the ranked mode came out and moved successfully in all the regions of the game.
The 1.02 update of Valorant brought a lot of changes. The most notable change was buffing the Viper. The buff made the character look more powerful and dangerous.
🚨 The update we've all been waiting for is here! Competitive mode is going live today in Patch 1.02!
