Rainbow Six Siege is free-to-play for one week on all platforms. The game runs on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Players can now download and enjoy the game for free until September 4th, 9 pm local time. The game is a 5v5 tactical shooter.
The Free trial
Ubisoft has made the game free for players around the world for one week. The company is playing very smart here as they attract millions of new players through this. During the one week trial, all the progress in the game by a player will be saved. The player can then continue from where he/she left after purchasing the full version. The free trial saved game can include access to all game’s modes and maps. Any player can go as far as possible in one week and they won’t lose their progress after purchasing the full game.
In September 2019, Ubisoft claimed that Rainbow Six Siege caters to 50 Million registered players. That figure increased in 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2020, Ubisoft announced that Rainbow Six Siege officially has 60 Million registered players.
For PS5 and Xbox Series X
In several announcements, the company declared that they are directed to release Rainbow Six Siege for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. With the release of the next-gen consoles, Rainbow Six will also release. The game director, Leroy Athanassoff says that the release is very important for Ubisoft. He also says that the development team at Ubisoft Montreal wishes to make the game free-to-play one day. We are not very far from this to happen.
Operation Steel Wave
The Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 Season 2, Operation Steel Wave, recently released two new operators. With the release of these two new operators, a new house map also comes out. The operators include the Norwegian attacker ace and the South African defender Melusi. In June, a new reimagined House map also came out.
Operation Shadow Legacy
Currently, Ubisoft is keeping itself busy with the launch of its new season. The Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 Season 3, Operation Shadow Legacy will release in the upcoming future. The new season will also have a new operator. For Season 3, the operator will be Splinter Cell agent Sam ‘Zero’ Fisher. The new season will bring a lot of new exciting features in the game. Ubisoft is all set to release the new season for players around the world.
Rainbow Six Quarantine
Ubisoft had to delay the latest series entry, Rainbow Six Quarantine, last year. This happened because Ubisoft had to restructure its editorial team due to the disappointing commercial in 2019. The commercial performance for Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Division 2 became the reason for the incompetence of Ubisoft’s editorial team. Ubisoft had to delay the release until it came out with a solution.
A lot of new updates are coming to Rainbow Six Siege these days. The free trial for one week is a golden chance to get your hands on the game.
