Overwatch players are always looking for new content. Although Blizzard has always tried their best to add amazing new content to the game from time to time, fans just can’t get enough of it. Even just a few days ago, the developers introduced a new character, Sigma. And now, it seems like the game’s director has revealed some future plans for the game.

New Content Coming in A Month or Two

Recently, Overwatch’s game director Jeff Kaplan revealed some important details during a stream in which he was sitting with Brandon “Seagull” Larned. For those who don’t know, Seagull is a former Overwatch League player. During the stream, Kaplan claimed that they have some exciting coming in a month or two. Although he didn’t give an exact date, he still confirmed that it will be either early fall or late summer.

Blizzard Is Planning Some Surprises for BlizzCon

In addition to this, he even went on to talk about BlizzCon. According to him, the team behind the event is really excited for it and that Blizzard is currently consumed with planning it. He also added that they are planning something special stuff for it. This means that this year’s BlizzCon will be different from the previous ones, and fans can expect to see some surprises during it. In any case, all we can do for now is wait and see what the developers have in mind for their fans.

What the Developers Have Done in The Past Few Months

Blizzard Entertainment has focused a lot on Overwatch in the past few months. They have added many amazing things in it, such as the Workship game mode, replay system, and much more. Although we currently don’t know what they are currently planning for BlizzCon, fans can expect to see some new characters or a new event.

On the other hand, Blizzard recently introduced a new cheat detection system for Overwatch. The new system is currently live on the Public Test Realm and is working flawlessly. It has basically changed how cheat detection works in the game. What happens is that it shuts down a match if it detects any cheating. However, the best thing is that no player from either team gets penalized for getting thrown out of the match. Only the player who will get caught cheating will be the one to get the punishment.

Cheating is something that has been a problem in many games including Overwatch. Players use various cheating methods to ruin the gameplay experience of others. For example, there is a software called aimbot which allows them to land all of their shots perfectly. Hopefully, with the new cheat detection system, Blizzard will finally overcome the issue of cheaters in the game. Another popular battle royale title, Apex Legends is also currently struggling with the issue of cheaters. Its developers have banned more than 770,000 accounts since that game was released in February.
