The latest in-game seasonal event of Overwatch, Storm Rising was expected to become the biggest in-game event of the year. Fans were really hyped up for it as they thought that it is going to offer a new gameplay experience. However, it seems like players are not enjoying the new event at all. Keep in mind that we will be mentioning some spoilers, so proceed at your own risk.

Recently, on Overwatch’s subreddit, many players decided to write down their own personal opinions about the ongoing event. According to them, finishing the “chase the truth” mission has only led them to think more questions instead of getting some answers. Basically, players claimed that there was not enough creativity in the mission.

Storm Rising Event Was Dry

The Storm Rising event was expected to offer some thrilling moments, but fans only found it to be a dry event. According to them, the mission itself felt empty and they didn’t see any special moments or interaction between playable characters. In addition to this, Blizzard also just introduced the previous enemies from some old missions, who just had different skins on them.

There are also some players claiming that they couldn’t enjoy the mission because it was rushed. They didn’t even get to gain any important knowledge from it and its ending also left them disappointed. What happened was that at the end of the mission, fans were confused after seeing a new character about whom they have never ever heard before.

Although the new event wasn’t what fans had expected and there was not enough actual playable content in the mission, many players still loved the cutscenes of the mission. In the future, Blizzard must add some thrilling moments and exciting playable content in the next Achieves so that fans can enjoy them.

On the other hand, the new Storm Rising event has also brought some new amazing skins in the game. Characters such as Soldier 76, Bastion, McCree, and some other characters have received astonishing looking skins which are basically linked to their past. Even the newest addition to the game’s characters list, Bapsite also got a new skin through the event.
