Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is currently regarded as one of the best streamers out there. He has been a role model for many new streamers and has a huge fan following. The Fortnite pro currently streams on Mixer. But before that, he used to be on Twitch where he streamed regularly. In fact, he was one of the top streamers of Twitch alongside Shroud. However, he shocked everyone when he decided to switch from Twitch to Mixer.

Ninja’s Move to Mixer

Back in September 2019, Ninja announced that he is no longer going to stream on Twitch as he has decided to switch to Mixer. The news came as a surprise to almost everyone as no one could’ve thought that he will ever leave Twitch. After a few days of being silent, Ninja made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about his decision.

The discussion between the two started with Fallon asking him why he switched to Mixer. In reply to this, Ninja claimed that he absolutely loves it and that he has had a lot of incredible opportunities after switching to Mixer. He also added that there are a lot of big things in work with other massive gaming companies. In short, switching to Mixer had a positive impact on Ninja’s life. Now, a new report has surfaced that has revealed some interesting details about his deal with Mixer. The report has also revealed the offers Twitch made to Ninja in order to make him stay.

What Offers He Got

According to a report from Kotaku, Twitch tried to make Ninja stay by offering him $15 million for a period of three years. Although this is a big amount of money, both Facebook Gaming and Mixer offered the Fortnite bro a bigger amount. While Twitch’s offer to keep Ninja maxed out at $15 million per year for three years, Mixer and Facebook Gaming offered him $20 million per year. At the time of leaving, Ninja had around 14 million followers on Twitch. And right now, on Mixer, Ninja has 2.8 million followers.

The report also claimed that Twitch considered Ninja to already have maxed out his earned media for the platform. This indicated that Twitch has already gotten a lot of free publicity from Ninja. However, they ended up offering him $15 million per year for him to stay. But the $5 million extra from Mixer might be the reason behind why the latter simply switched his streaming platform and left behind 14 million subscribers.

What’s Next for Mixer?

As compared to Twitch, Mixer isn’t that big. Twitch is still the biggest streaming platform in the world and is dominating every other platform. However, Mixer has been slowly bringing the top streamers to the platform, and this might soon end up making them the biggest platform. Mixer also brought Shroud to their platform. For those who don’t know, Shroud is the guy who was considered as the King of Twitch. But the streamer simply decided to follow the footsteps of Ninja.
