During this month’s second week, we saw that Team Liquid, one of the most amazing Dota 2 made some changes to its roster. This came as a surprise to many fans as this team was well known for keeping its roster together for around two years. However, because of some reasons, the team finally decided to change its roster and dropped MATUMBAMAN. And now, they have finally found a replacement for him just before the EPICENTER Major begins.

W33 Added to Team Liquid

Recently, Team Liquid announced that they have signed Aliwi “w33” Omar to their team. This means that the empty spot of MATUMBAMAN has been filled by w33. We got to see that the latter was practicing with Team Liquid a week ago and has now been added to the team. This was confirmed through the official Twitter account of Team Liquid where they welcomed the longtime pro to their team.

W33’s Experience

For those who don’t know, w33 is a really experienced player and is known to be one of the best out there. He has played for Team Secret and even participated in The International 2016, where the latter showcased his amazing skills to the world. W33 was also a part of Chaos Esports Club, but he was placed on the team’s inactive roster when they shifted from the South America region to EU. However, the reason why he was inactive was his health problems. But that didn’t stop him from playing Dota 2 as the latter kept on practicing even when he was inactive.

W33 also has some history with Liquid’s Maroun “GH” Merhej as the two used to play together and worked hard to make it to the bigger scene. And now, the latter is going to play for one of the biggest Dota 2 teams out there. Many fans are currently eagerly waiting to see how the Dota 2 pro is going to play with the new roster. In addition to this, we will also have to see whether he will manage to fill MATUMBAMAN’s empty spot or not.

No Time to Practice

The EPICENTER Major is some really important for Team Liquid. Although the team will not get a lot of time to practice with their new member, there won’t be any major problems since w33 is an experienced player who will not let his team down. With w33, Liquid now has more players who can easily play 10 heroes. But we will have to see whether their hard work is going to pay off or not when the EPICENTER Major begins.

On the other hand, Team Liquid also has a spot in The International 2019, which is currently scheduled to be held in August. Recently, it was revealed that the Prize Pool of TI9 has surpassed $19 million and is expected to reach $28-30 million.
