Players That Will Make A Return
To begin with, some Overwatch stars that have remained a part of Philadelphia Fusion since the inaugural season of the game are going to make a return. These include DPS duo Lee “Carpe” Jae-Hyeok and Josue “Eqo” Corona, flex support Issac “Boombox” Charles, main tank Kim “Sado” Su-min, and flex tank Gael “Poko” Gouzerch. All of them are really amazing players and fans will be excited to see them again.
Kim “Fury” Jun-ho
The team has also decided to add some other amazing players to the roster. We first have flex tank and Overwatch League champion Kim “Fury” Jun-ho. His addition to the team will come as a surprise to many fans since he is a former player of London Spitfire. During his time with his former team, Fury was named “the undisputed king of clutch defense matrixes.” And now, the latter is going to use his skills to help his new team win the upcoming league.
Daniel “FunnyAstro” Hathaway
Another surprise addition to the team is Daniel “FunnyAstro” Hathaway, who is a former player of Atlanta Reign. Hence, he is the second player Fusion has added to their roster from another Overwatch League team. FunnyAstro’s addition to the team is going to be really beneficial, considering he is one of the best Lucio players in the world. After helping Atlanta Reign secure many victories, the latter is now going to lend his skills to Fusion.
Kim “Alarm” Kyunbo
Fans will be excited to know that Kim “Alarm” Kyungbo is going to play the role of flex support for Fusion. The latter played really well during the Overwatch Contenders series. For those who don’t know, the Overwatch Contenders serve as a platform for players to show their skills to the world. And those who manage to perform really well get picked up by Overwatch League teams. And now, because of his amazing performance, Alarm has been promoted from the Fusion University, which is the organization’s very own academy team.
Philadelphia Fusion has made various changes to its roster in order to prepare for the upcoming Overwatch League. Some time ago, they released Battle Mercy Alberto “neptuNo” Gonzalez from the team. This left some empty space in the team, which is now filled with FunnyAstro and Alarm. Fusion also dropped support Elijah “Elk” Gallagher, while DPS Simon “Snillo” Ekstorm didn’t renew his contract. However, this was expected considering he was listed as a free agent on the official website of the Overwatch League.
Now that Philadelphia Fusion has a brand-new roster, it will be exciting to see how they are going to perform. Will they dominate the tournament and conquer it? Or are they going to fall to some other team? Only time will tell.
