All teams are currently preparing for the upcoming 2020 Overwatch League season. Some of them are changing their roster, while others are simply moving ahead with their existing one. Paris Eternal happens to be one of those who have decided to enter the next season with most of their previous lineup. This news will come as a relief to some fans who wanted to see the old lineup play again for their favorite team.

Contracts Renewed

Paris Eternal has decided to renew the contracts of six players from their previous players. These include DPS players Terence “Soon” Tarlier and Nicolas “Nicogdh” Moret, support players Luis “Greyy” Perestrelo, Harrison “Kruise” Pond, and Damien “Hyp” Souville. The sixth player to get his contract renewed is tank Benjamin “Benbest” Dieulafait. All six of these players are going to continue to play for Paris Eternal in 2020.

Soon is the very player who has remained a part of Paris Eternal since the conclusion of League’s first season. He has performed really well throughout his time with the team and will continue to do so. He is well known for his Widowmaker play and fans will get to see it in action once again. On the other hand, fans didn’t get to see Hyp, Benbest, and Nicogdh in action during stage four.

Paris Eternal joined the 2019 Overwatch League during the second season. During this time, they felt proud of having a lot of European talent in their team and their coaching staff. However, after they were placed 14th, they stopped focusing on keeping a European theme. Recently, they decided to pick up some players from Element Mystic. They have signed Jung “Xzi” Kihyo, Choi “Hanbin” Hanbin, and Kim “SP9RK1E” Young-han. In addition to this, they have also decided to hire the former head coach of Mystic, Yun “Rush” Hee-won. All of these new players are really amazing, and their astonishing performance was seen during their time with Element Mystic.

Previous Changes

Paris Eternal also released a few players from their team in order to make some space for the Korean players. They released DPS players Pharah ShaDowBurn and Karol “Danye” Szczesniak. In addition to this, they also released the main Roni “Lhcloudy” Tiihonen and off-tank Finnbjorn “Finnsi” Jonasson. And now, the team has signed a total of seven players. This means that even after hiring a set of new players and renewing the contract of already existing players, they till have to sign one more player in order to complete their squad. For those who don’t know, it is a requirement of the Overwatch League that every team should have at least 8 players in their team.
