Riot Games announced the Ruined King in December 2019 as the first-ever single player League of Legends game. The game also became the first-ever to come out of the Riot Forge publishing label. Today, Riot Games announced very important news for the fans. The organization says that Ruined King: A League of Legends Story will release on multiple platforms including Steam and the Epic Games Store. The organization also said that the game will launch in early 2021. 

Riot Forge

Airship Syndicate is currently developing the League of Legends spinoff. The company also released the Darksiders Genesis, and Battle Chasers: Nightwar. These games were a part of Riot’s effort to push beyond the most famous MOBA game, League of Legends. The future coming Riot’s Forge games will feature characters from the League. However, these games will get the name of a ‘completable’ game developed by external sources.

The head of the Riot Forge, Leanne Loombe says that Ruined King is an extremely good way to expand the environment for both existing and the newcomers in the scene. He also says that Ruined King is the only game that will bring the League of Legends characters to both PC and Consoles. The organization is extremely excited to witness a new change in the scene. The head of the organization says that the company is excited to look at the fans exploring and playing with Champions of the League. He also says that the company is anxiously waiting for feedback from the fans about the new game in the scene.

Two Regions of Runeterra

The new game, Ruined King, will feature two regions of Runeterra in the game. These regions include the port town of Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles. The port of Bilgewater is home to smugglers, dock gangs, and monster hunters. However, the Shadow Isles shroud in a deadly Black Mist that corrupts all the touches it receives. Players joining the game will form a party and choose a Champion from the League of Legends Champions pool. Ruined King currently has a few League Champions including Ahri, Braum, Miss Fortune, Pyke, Illaoi, and Yasuo. These champions will play together to fight a common enemy.

Riot’s Reaction

Riot currently doesn’t speak too much about the new game in the scene. However, the organization says that it will have much more to say about the new game by December. Until then, you can dig down on the official website of the Ruined King, and you might find a lot of hidden information in it.

With the recent announcement about the release of the game, League of Legends fans are extremely happy about it. The game will allow the players to select from the real game to enter the battle in the Ruined King. the abilities for each Champion remains the same.
