Since the past few days, CS:GO fans have been watching the IEM Katowice 2020. The tournament had everyone excited because a lot of top-tier teams were participating it. After a lot of matches between various teams, we finally got to see the grand finals yesterday. And we must say, it was amazing.
The Grand Finals
The grand finals of the IEM Katowice was between Na’Vi and G2 Esports. Both teams are really amazing and everyone was wondering who would defeat the other. The two tried their best, but the CIS esports organization Na’Vi emerged victorious. The most interesting thing about this was that this was the first time the team was taking home the IEM Katowice trophy.
Another interesting thing about Na’Vi’s win is that this was the first major tournament victory for Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov, who was recently promoted to the post of in-game leader. This decision was made after Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko departed from the team back in September. As for the start player of the team throughout the tournament, it was definitely Aleksandr “S1mple” Kostyliev. For those who don’t know, s1mple is considered as one of the best CS:GO players by many. During the recent tournament, he dominated every match by his performance and proved that he has the potential to become the best player in the world.

As for the grand finals, the start player was surely the in-game leader Boombl4. In most cases, in-game leaders are not the biggest threat to the opponent when it comes to kills. However, Boombl4 left everyone surprised after he went the opposite way and dominated the match. Every player gave his best and this is the reason why Na’Vi managed to emerge victorious during the grand finals.
How Things Went Down
The first map was an easy win for Na’Vi. The team quickly managed to get 14 points on their side after performing similar to their match against Astralis recently. G2 Esports tried its best to get a couple of points to their side, but the first map ended with a score of 16-4, giving Na’Vi a win.
As for the second map, G2 picked up the pace. They used techniques to get some eliminations and even win critical fights. However, this still wasn’t enough to take Na’Vi down as the CIS side stepped up and won the second map too with a score of 16-13.
The third map then started and it was the final chance for G2 to do something. However, Na’Vi absolutely dominated the third map too and won the tournament. The best thing about the third map was Flamie’s performance who finishing it with around 23 kills.
In any case, it was a really amazing match to watch. S1mple from Na’Vi recently claimed that the current lineup of the team’s roster is the best ever because everyone is performing well individually. And the grand finals proved that the every player of the team has practiced enough. It will be exciting to see how the team will performing during the upcoming tournaments.
