Epicenter is an eSports tournament, which is held in Russia and includes two disciplines: CS:GO and Dota 2. The CS:GO competition will take place in the second half of October 2018.

Where and when will the tournament.

The venue is the “Park of Legends” Ice Palace (previously it was called “VTB Ice Palace”), tickets are still on sale. Moreover, there are different types of tickets. The more expensive it is, the more different gifts from the organizers can be received by its owner including exclusive autograph sessions with players.



The group stage of the tournament is scheduled from 22 to 25 October, and the final competition will take place from 27 to 28 October.

Will the tournament include popular teams?

Yes, yes, and yes again. Of the top 10 teams in the world rankings, the second, third, fourth, sixth and ninth teams of the world will arrive in Moscow. So we can expect tons of action at the Epicenter.

Which region will be the favourite?

The CIS region will be the favorites of the whole tournament. In the absence of the Danes, Astralis (the best team in the world), Natus Vincere team becomes the main contender for victory in Epicenter 2018. And this is the only CIS team to pose a serious threat for the title. Two Russian guys and three Ukrainians play in Navi. One of them – Sasha Simple Kostylev is the best player in the world right now.

There will be another team from the CIS at the tournament – AVANGAR (which is composed of four Kazakhs and one Russian ). However, they will have to fight for their lives for even qualifying for the group stage.

What is the status of the tournament?

The competition is of Major Level. Epicenter was recognized as the best event in Europe in the Live Entertainment industry at the main European awards EUBEA 2016. Last year’s final, which was held in St. Petersburg, was attended by over 12 thousand spectators, and more than 30 million people watched Internet broadcasts.

The prize fund of the upcoming tournament will be $ 300,000.

What is the format of the tournament?

It all starts on October 22 with qualification: the four teams that won their regional qualifying tournaments, by the double elimination system determine the two best teams of the region. They will continue to fight in the main stage.

Then eight teams are divided into two groups. From each group only four teams will go to the playoffs while the rest will be eliminated. The group stage takes place from 23 to 25 October. Then a pause of a couple of days, the semi-finals – on October 27, and the final – on the 28th. If you are planning to be in Moscow on these dates, you need to go without any hesitation.
