CS:GO is one of the top esports games in the world. The game is considered one of the greatest games of all time and is played by millions of players every month. In fact, it is one of the games that have helped esports become what it is today. CS:GO features two teams in every match, one being the terrorist side and the other being Counter-Terrorist. Both of them have to complete certain objectives in order to win the match and are allowed to choose from different weapons.
Just like other multiplayer shooter games in the world, CS:GO is also filled with weapons of different types. From SMGs to snipers, players can enjoy everything. The most interesting thing about them is that they can be customized using skins. Some of these skins can be either unlocked through loot boxes, while others can be purchased from the community market.
The community market is the place where players can buy and sell their CS:GO skins. Some of these skins are worth only a few dollars, while others are worth thousands of dollars. And the best part? These expensive skins also get sold easily since there are many die-hard fans who are always looking for such skins and don’t care about the cost. But now, a recent bug has caused the price of every skin available in the market to ho really high. So, if you’re someone who is thinking about either selling or buying a skin on the market, you might have to wait for a little.
Yesterday, many players started reporting that they were seeing high prices for every skin available in the community market. This issue was also reported by Dota 2 and Team Fortress 2 players, but it was mainly faced by CS:GO players. Every item including weapon skins, agent skins, cases, keys, and stickers had their price went up higher than usual, something which created a panic in the community. For those wondering, this issue is being caused by the high load on the market servers as more players are now using the market than before. The worst part is that some of the new listings are now appearing instantly, thus causing a delay.
As the market servers are currently overwhelmed, new items will not appear instantly. Instead, they will appear after a few hours and will not get replace another item quickly. This doesn’t mean that your listing won’t go through at all. Once your product is up, players will purchase it if the price you’re asking is right. The biggest issue Valve is going to face if this problem continues is a massive market crash. If the prices keep on getting higher, then Valve will lose control of things. Something similar was once seen in the case of Team Fortress 2, but that was resolved within 24 hours. Valve is most likely aware of this ongoing market issue and will release a fix for it soon.
