Apex Legends players have discovered yet another bug in the game. This time, they are experiencing something unusual with the Respawn Beacons. Instead of being dropped off at the location of the Respawn Beacon by the ship, players are getting dropped at the wrong location.
The feature which makes Apex Legends different from other battle royale titles is Respawn Beacons. These beacons allow players to bring their dead teammates back to life. All they have to do is pick up their teammate’s banner from his/her death box and take it to the nearest Respawn Beacon. Afterward, a ship appears that drops the teammate near the beacon. However, an Apex Legends player on Reddit recently shared a video that shows his teammate getting dropped at the wrong location.
Players Are Getting Dropped at The Wrong Location
The video shows that the player respawned his teammate in the compound north of Hydro Dam. However, instead of landing there, his teammate dropped on the other side of the mountain. The player who experienced this bug was on Xbox One, but a few PC and PS4 players are claiming that the same thing happened to them. If this is the case, then Respawn needs to do something about this bug soon.
Although the community coordinator, Gazra, has created a ticket on Respawn’s dev tracker, the developers are yet to provide us an update on when it will get fixed. There have been times when players had to wait more than a month for a bug fix. However, as Respawn has now realized what can happen if such issues are not fixed within time, we can expect to see a fix in the next update.
Not the Only Bug
Apex Legends players are well aware of the fact that this isn’t the first bug that has been discovered in the game this month. Even yesterday, a user on Reddit discovered a bug that was labeling him as “out of bounds” even though he was inside the battle area. At first, he thought that the timer will go away as soon as it ends, but he was killed immediately once it did.
Players also discovered a bug linked with Wraith a few weeks ago that allowed them to user her “Into the Void” ability as much as they wanted to without any cooldown. Some top streamers even became a victim of this bug and lost a match because of it. As many players were complaining about it, Respawn Entertainment introduced a fix for it in one of their recent updates.
Apex Legends has had a plethora of bugs since it was released in February. While Respawn has tried to fix the majority of them, they just can’t prevent new ones from appearing in the game. All we can do is wait and see whether the developers will be able to come up with a permanent solution for them or not.
