Apex Legends entered its third season a few weeks ago, and fans are absolutely enjoying it. The latest season has introduced some exciting new content to the game, including a new character and a map. However, although fans are still getting used to the third season, they already want to know about the things that will arrive in the future.
Official Reveal of Revenant
As the latest Fight or Fright event has officially revealed a brand-new character, Revenant, fans are wondering whether he will become a playable character soon or not. The character first appeared in the official trailer of the Halloween event. In it, Pathfinder accidentally went through Wraith’s portal which took him to another dimension. Upon reaching an abandoned version of Kings Canyon, he was welcome by Revenant who was standing on the top of a building. He invited Pathfinder to participate in his “games,” which is the Shadowfall mode.
For those who don’t know, while Revenant was officially revealed at the start of the recent event, his name was actually leaked in August. After the Iron Crown event, some data miners decided to explore the game’s files. Fortunately, they were able to find some unreleased legends, and one of them was Revenant. Not only this, but the data miners were able to discover his abilities too.
It was revealed that Revenant is going to have two forms, Regular Stance, and Shadow Stance. Both forms are going to share the same passive ability called Infiltrator, which will allow him to climb higher walls and walk faster while crouched.
However, his Regular Stance is going to feature two tactical abilities. The first one will fire a poison dagger that will reveal the target’s location. The second one will be a poison bomb that will explode and deal damage to anyone within its radius. In addition to this, the bomb will also slow down targets. As for the ultimate ability of his Regular Stance, it will be Death Recall. This ability will basically allow the legend to bring his killed or downed enemies back to life with 20 health.
Revenant’s Shadow Stance also has two tactical abilities. The first one being Shadow Walk that will allow him to move silently and faster for around six seconds. The second one is Shadow Step through which he can send a Shadow revenant and teleport to him. As for the ultimate ability of the Shadow Stance, he will be able to create a doorway through walls that will last for around five seconds.
In any case, Revenant sure is going to be one hell of a character and his abilities will be really useful during matches. At the moment, we don’t know exactly when he will become a playable character. However, it is safe to say that he is indeed going to be the next character of the game. All we can do is wait and see what Respawn has in mind for him.
