Apex Legends players will be glad to know that Respawn Entertainment has just released a new update for the game. This newly released update is kind of an important one as it brings the much-demanded weapon and legend balancing to the game.

The patch notes of the latest 1.1.1 update have revealed what changes were made to the game through it. Sadly, the new update does not add any new content to the game, and players will have to wait a little longer to see some new guns and characters. Despite the fact that it doesn’t feature any new content, fans will still love it as it brings balancing for the game’s legends and weapons. In addition to this, it also brings fixes and tweaks for some issues which were present in various sections of the game.

Legend Balancing

We all are aware of the fact that Caustic and Gibraltar are both large in size, which makes their hitboxes bigger than other legends. Many fans were asking Respawn to alter their hitboxes in some way, and it seems like the developers have listened to them.

1.1.1 Patch Notes – Patch going live around 10am PST on 4/16 from r/apexlegends

Although the developers have not altered the hitboxes of the above-mentioned legends, they have done something similar to it. According to them, changing the hitboxes of the two legends will not have any major effect on their overall health, so they decided to give them an extra passive perk, known as Fortified.

Thanks to this new perk, the damage taken by these two legends has been reduced by 10%. This is something players are going to love since this will balance the hitboxes to a great extent. In addition to this, Caustic will be now able to through his ultimate 5 meters further than the original distance. On the other hand, Gibraltar’s Gun Shield health has been also increased from 50 to 75.

Weapon Balancing

The new update has also brought balancing to various weapons of the game. To start with, all the non-legendary snipers have been tweaked, and their leg damage will now only affect the overall damage by 10%. In addition to this, the clip size of Havoc has been increased from 25 bullets to 32, which is something many fans wanted.

Wingman and Spitfire have also been altered in some ways. Basically, the clip size of Wingman has now been decreased, meaning that fans will have to be extra careful while using it. In addition to this, the Gold version of Wingman will also now have a Digital Thread instead of a 2x-4x Variable Scope. On the other hand, the damage of Spitfire has been decreased from 20 to 18, and its clip size has also been reduced. Instead of 60, you can now only have 55 ammo in its magazine.

In any case, it will be interesting to see how the game will improve for players after this update. Respawn has promised that they are working day and night to bring fixes for all the issues present in the game.
