Epic Games has finally released Fortnite update v10.20. For those who don’t know, this is the third downloadable update since Season X went live. The developers have also revealed the patch notes of this latest update to give fans a closer look at what they’ll be seeing after they install it.

Borderlands x Fortnite Crossover

To begin with, Fortnite v10.20 has brought the Borderlands x Fortnite crossover event. This event is going to feature some exciting new challenges through which players will be able to unlock various rewards. In addition to this, players will get the chance to purchase Borderlands themed cosmetics and visit a brand-new location in the game that is based on Pandora. So, if you’re a fan of Borderlands, then you’re definitely going to enjoy this event.

The Shield Bubble

Players will also get to see a new item called the Shield Bubble. It will be a rare item and can be found in chests, supply drops, and vending machines. In addition to this, you can also find it as floor loot. The Shield Bubble will last for around 30 seconds and it will basically create a large bubble that will block all projectiles and explosives. One thing to keep in mind is that you will be able to shoot projectiles and explosives when you’re inside the bubble, but they will not go outside.

Changes to B.R.U.T.E

Epic Games has also made a small change to B.R.U.T.E through this update. Its icon on the map will remain visible even after a player board it. Not only this but as the robot moves, its icon on the map will also move. This has been done to increase awareness of B.R.U.T.E’s presence and location so that players don’t remain at a disadvantage against it.

New Location

The latest update has added a new location to the game. The new location is Pandora and Borderlands players will be familiar with it. The most interesting thing about this new location it regenerates shield. However, in order for this to happen, you need to avoid taking damage for 4 seconds. Make sure to get the most out of this location before it disappears on September 10.

Bug Fixes

Aside from all this, Fortnite update v10.20 has brought fixes for various bugs present in the game. For instance, the bug that was preventing members of the Horde from attacking players in B.R.U.T.E has now been fixed. In addition to this, there was a bug because of why Small Shield Potions were not filling the player’s shield to 50 if it was at 49. However, this issue has now been fixed. Other than these, tons of other issues have been fixed through this latest update. Three items, Storm Flip, Drum Gun, and the Storm Scout Sniper Rifle have also been sent to the vault.

In any case, the game is surely going to improve after this update. Make sure to get the most out of the Borderlands cross over event before it ends.
