Possible Replacements For Ana In OG

With the victory of TI8, OG has finally entered the history books of Dota 2. However, we did not see them during the new season, as soon after the announcement was made that they would take a short break to return to their strengths. After announcing their participation in the Chongqing Major qualifiers, we could see the OG on the list, so it seems everyone was ready to re-enter the race. Except for one man  Anathan "ana" Pham, the team's midlaner announced his retirement for the second time. Last year, on August 17, he also stepped back, although he was…

The Best League of Legends Team Of 2018

For all five positions, we selected the "best" player from the participating teams in League of Legends World Championship and from this we created the All-Star team. We basically looked at KDA for everyone. The fact that this in itself does not necessarily tell everything about a player, but we took the whole 2018 year into account, and in that period all the players participating in the World Championship played very exciting matches. Keeping a stable KDA high throughout the season usually means that there are little mistakes made by the players and they got a lot of kills. However,…

Can Team Secret Go All The Way This Year At TI8?

Team Secret, the fourth on the leaderboard this season and one of the favorite teams is set to take the Aegis of the Immortality at The International 8. Let's see their evolution in the competitive circuit. Like PSG.LGD, Team Secret has had its ups and downs, though we can say that they have been the complete opposite. While the Chinese team made a terrible start to the DPC, Team Secret dominated in all the tournaments. They started with a second place finish in the first Major of the season. While in the second Major they did not fail and became…

Evaluating Team Liquid – Can They Win Another TI Title This Year?

The previous year, Team Liquid arrived at The International 2017 as one of the favorites owing to their exceptional season. This year, they are the second team to accumulate enough points to be able to receive a direct invitation. However, the irregular results and the titles missed in the 2017-2018 season places them in a much more delicate position at TI. Unpredictable performance The 2016-2017 season was a complicated year for Team Liquid, which was quite successful after the change of lineup: GH, the second support arrived at the end of 2016 to replace Bulba. Team Liquid's lineup then started…

Universe to replace Ohaiyo in Fnatic for upcoming roster lock

Saahil ‘UNiVeRse’ Arora has found a new home in the SEA region, replacing long-time offlaner Chong Xin 'Ohaiyo' Khoo in the Fnatic lineup just in time for the roster lock period. Last month Evil Geniuses made the shocking announcement that the organization had parted ways with UNiVeRse, adding  Rasmus ‘MiSeRy’ Filipsen to the lineup and switching Sumail ‘SumaiL’ Hassan into the offlane. Since then the veteran star had been laying low and remained a free agent. Ohaiyo's departure is somewhat of a surprise for many fans as the offlaner had been with the organization for almost three years - since 2015 with Fnatic returned to Dota 2. “…

Virtus Pro win first Valve Major at ESL One Hamburg

In a historical moment for the team, Virtus Pro have taken their first Valve Major by winning ESL One Hamburg. They took an aggressive and impressive victory against Team Secret, with solid drafts capped off with terrifying last-picks that proved to be too much for the European rivals. The Valve-sponsored event victory is a long time coming. Virtus Pro’s roster stuck together after their run at The International 7, meaning they’ve been together for over a year—since early August 2016. During this time, they qualified for the Boston Major, took second at the Kiev Major and won two Dota Summits…

Xcalibur replaced by Abed at Fnatic

Following a rough start in the Dota Pro Circuit, Fnatic announced a few changes in within their team. First and foremost, they benched out Steve 'Xcalibur' Ye and welcomed to the team the SEA 10K MMR player Abed 'Abed' Yusop. This decision will bring Fnatic a penalty in qualifying points earned if they are to reach any of the minors and majors before the next shuffle window. Despite my short stay in Fnatic’s active roster my experience in the team has been invaluable. I have learned so much from my teammates during our replay sessions. I will definitely try to find a new team…

Xboct interview: “Coaching is something that I really needed to happen in my life”

Day one at PGL Open Bucharest was a practice day for Na’Vi, perfect time for us to kidnap their coach for a chat about his new role with the team he won an International with. Alexander "XBOCT" Dashkevich is an iconic figure for the entire Dota scene. TI 1 champion, three times in a row finalist at the same event, XBOCT was and still is to many youngsters a source of inspiration. Many of the Dota 2 fans know him and remember him for what he accomplished for over five years at Natus Vincere alongside Dendi, Funn1k, Puppey and Kuroky. I haven't…
