The latest event of Apex Legends, Voidwalker is now live. The event was announced a few days ago and it came as a surprise for many players since the Iron Crown event had just ended. And now, the event is finally live, and we even have the patch notes through which we can see what the update is going to change.

New Location

To begin with, the update has added the Voidwalker event. As a part of it, a new location called “Project: Wraith” has appeared. For those who don’t know, this is the research site where Wraith was being experimented on. Players will even get to use a portal that is at this research site. In addition to this, there are a variety of challenges that players can complete to earn various rewards. Make sure to complete all of them before they are gone after two weeks.

New Cosmetic Items

The Voidwalker event has also introduced some new exciting cosmetic items that can be purchased directly from the in-game shop. The main highlight of the event is the Legendary Voidwalker skin for Wraith that features a black and white suit along with a purple helmet. The skin is available for 1800 Apex Coins and is the most expensive item in the event. Aside from this, there are some other cosmetic items such as skins for Banglore, Lifeline, Prowler, and more.

Double XP Weekend

Respawn is also going to host a double XP weekend. It will start on September 6 and will conclude on September 9. Players who manage to finish in the Top 5 or win the match will earn double XP. The best thing about this is that the bonus will affect both Account Level and Battle Pass progression. So, we will suggest you take some time out of your routine to play some Apex Legends on the weekend if you want to level up quickly.

Weapons Availability

The Voidwalker event has also introduced a new limited-time mode called “Armed and Dangerous.” In this mode, players can use only Snipers and Shotguns. These include the Mozambique, Peacekeeper, EVA-8, Longbow, G7, and Triple Take. The God variants of these weapons will be available only in High Tier Loot zones and airdrops. Although Karber and Mastiff will be available in the mode, you will be able to get them only through late-game airdrops. They will be available as ground loot too, but only 1-2 per game.

Other Loot Availability

The Blue, Purple, And Gold variant of Armor and Helmets have been disabled, while the spawn rate for Common Armor and Helmets is reduced. Although the overall loot density is reduced, ammo/weapon spawn rates will be increased so that players can have an epic combat. In addition to this, the spawn rates for syringes has been increased while the spawn rates for shield batteries has been decreased.

Aside from this, the update has brought fixed for various issues that were present in the game. Make sure to get the most out of the event before it ends.
