Apex Legends season 3 was a few days ago, and it has taken the game to a whole new level. The new season introduced some new weapons, cosmetic items, and a brand new legend, Crypto. For those who don’t know, Crypto is the character who was leaked alongside Wattson prior to season 2. However, only Wattson was added to the game through season 2. But now, the legend has finally made its way to the game through the latest season. In addition to this, Kings Canyon has been replaced by a brand new map.
While Respawn has added some exciting new content to the game through season 3, it seems like some bugs have also arrived with them. Recently, a lot of players have been complaining about a new error code that is ruining their gameplay experience. The new error code is Code Shoe, and it is disconnecting players from the game. The issue is being faced by players on all three platforms.
What Code Shoe Is
Code Shoe is basically disconnecting players after five minutes, something which sends them back straight to the lobby. At first, the error code was appearing for only few players, but now a lot of players are reporting it. Thankfully, there are a few methods through which you can fix it. Keep in mind that we can’t guarantee whether the methods will work for you or not, but they have helped most players with resolving this issue.
How You Can Fix it
At the moment, no one knows the specific reason behind the latest error code. Even a representative from EA claimed that the code might be appearing because of a number of issues. The first thing you can try is reinstalling the game. Not only this, but reinstalling the game is something that has fixed the issue for most players. Although it might be somewhat hectic to download the game all over again, it will still replenish the corrupted files, if there are any.
Another thing you can try is turning down your video memory. This is a method only meant for those who are experiencing the issue on PC. This is something that cannot be done on the PS4 or Xbox One. A lot of players claimed that their issue got resolved after they turned their video memory down on the PC. The latest season is basically using more memory than the previous seasons, something which older generations of graphics cards cannot handle.
The last thing you can do to make this issue go away is resetting your network. Simply reboot your modem and router. The issue might be related to your connection, so it will be wise to reboot your console and PC too.
If you’re still facing the issue ever after the trying above methods, then there is nothing you can do. The best thing you can do then is wait for Respawn to officially release a fix for it through an upcoming update.
