Apex Legends was released in February and since then, almost every other player has encountered some sort of bug. These bugs are something that have ruined the game and some players even stopped playing Apex Legends because of them. While everyone thought that Respawn will introduce a permanent fix for them with season 2, things didn’t turn out to be how they expected. In fact, players are discovering a new bug every week.

Apex Legends has had a plethora of bugs and glitches from the start, and some of them are related to the audio. Players sometimes encounter audio issues because of which they are unable to hear the sound of the game. We all know how important sounds are in Apex Legends. You just cannot survive without them. There are times when you have to judge the location of your enemy through their footsteps.

Apex Legends New Sound Bug

On Reddit, a user claimed that he is unable to hear any noises that came from directly in front or behind. After he downloaded the recently released 700 MB update, he is facing audio issues. Not only this, but the latter has to turn about 15 degrees to the left or right to hear the sound in front of him. The player has further added that he has checked both his sound drivers and audio settings, but they seem fine. This means that the problem is with the game.

Audio Problem No Sound behind/in front from r/apexlegends

Respawn’s Community Manager on Reddit was quick to respond to this post. He claimed that he has passed this to the audio team as this has been a really big issue and that the post has provided some great info. He even asked everyone to let him know about what methods they have used to fix such issues. Some users commented that they were able to fix the audio issues by reverting the September 10 Windows Update.

When the Fix Might Arrive

At the moment, we currently don’t know exactly when the fix will arrive, but at least we know Respawn is aware of it. It is great to see that the Community Manager is providing updates from time to time to relax the frustrated players. If Respawn makes this a priority, then we can expect to see a fix for this issue in the next update.

One thing to keep in mind here is that this isn’t the only bug that has recently surfaced in the game. A few weeks ago, a player discovered a glitch through which he was able to use Wraith’s Into the Void ability as many times as he wanted to, without waiting for it to cool down. Some streamers even became a victim of this bug as they lost some matches because of it. However, as this was getting out of hands, Respawn patched this glitch and it has now been fixed. Hopefully, we won’t get to see it in the future as it puts many players at a disadvantage.
